Three years ago, i advised BANK OF AMERICA that I needed to have my interest rate lowered, they denied. I then tried to do a balance transfer, they denied that also.
After becoming permantly disabled i wrote them to advise i would not be able to send what payments they asked for, but that I would honor my obligation and send what i could. I kept my word even though it was only a $10.00 payment per month, in good faith i was a person of my word trying to do the right thing and not just send nothing at all.
I wrote them again advising i was doing my best as they continued to accept my little payments and now they have filed suit against for what i owe them.
The lawyers and collection agency call me 7 days a week from 8:00am until 9:00 pm. And on one ocassion when i did answer they left me in tears feeling like I was the worse person on this earth.
The people who don't even make an effort are the people they should be after. I made an honest attempt towards this debt, now i'm so depressed and upset i don't know where to turn.
If the payments I sent were not good enough, why did they even except them, cash them and turn around and sue me?
I made this attempt because I did not want to go the bankruptcy route, now I feel like I'm at the end of my rope here.
