Deceptive Practices

I recently recieved a settlement from an assault i endured in 2001. Since we had lost everything, we had enough to start over. I gave a mobile home company $17,000.00 cash which was 40% of the total cost of the 18x76. Everyone was nice and overbearing at first, and even told me if i had any concerns to call them (21st morgage) and they would assist me.

Well, we have not been given our keys to the house, and have requested them several times. According to the mobile home company, (palm harbor, who has a big account with 21st morgage), stated we would have to pay 1 year of insurance ib advance in order to get the keys. This house sits on my property, with no one living in it and my first morgage payment will be pulled from my personal account this month. I called 21st morgage and was told by mark that they required the insurance paid in full for 1 year, and that the 40% down was also a requirement and if i wasn't aware of that, then i was lied to.

I was trying to make a poit to these people, (with my insurance company on the phone with me), that this is not pocket change and i needed the key to my home. I was in tears this morning, and i'm disapointed to be treated like dirt! They took my money and left a house parked on my property telling me it's not mine, it has not been funded, and won't be until i pay this premiuim in advacne, yet they expect me to put another payment to it! My insurance agent was in disbelief! She witnessed the whole thing!
