Over $200 in Fees From Debits Processed Before Credits

Here is yet another bank just as greedy as Bank of America, profiting at the expense of its customers. SunTrust took over $200.00 from my checking account because it decided to use an accounting method now common in banking called debits before credits.

All this means is that when you have several transactions in your account, they do not count your credits, such as paychecks or deposits, until they deduct all your checks, debit card purchases, etc.

This automatically makes your bank account negative before you even start the accounting process, allowing them to charge you $35.00 and up for each debit exceeding your original starting balance. Once they assess your account tons of fees, only then do they credit your account with any credits, and that is your new ending balance.

This week they did this to me for the first time and charged me in excess of $200.00 in fees. That is 200 bucks I do not have for rent, gas, food or gifts for my kid.

Thanks to all the lawyers and lawyers-turned-politicians who have allowed the big business of America to profit off us working people while they demand larger-than-ever CEO golden parachutes for being nothing more than crooks.

And shame on you, fellow citizens, for being so selfish as to think it is always someone else's problem. Do not worry, you are next. They cannot afford not to take advantage of everyone.
