Debited my bank acct. Without authorization & received returned check fees. I contacted the banks fraud unit for claim

I had applied for a loan not knowing it was a payday loan. They had my infomation (ss# & bank acct#) to supposedly make a deposit to the acct. I told them I did not want the offer & thought that was the end of it until today 9/12 when I checked my balance to see a charge of $49.95 & an returned check fee of $35.00.

According to the bank, these payday loan places can give your information to the world. Obviously, I did not know that. I never got any money & now have to make a decision about changing accts. At the bank.

My recourse at the bank is to block the acct. (which will only allow deposits), open a new acct. Or keep the same acct. & hope for the best. Keeping the same acct. Relieves the bank of any liability if they try processing the debit again. Try paying bills without being able to use your ATM/Debit card.
