When I accepted the CapitalOne Prime Lock mastercard, I set up an electronic transfer to ensure no late payments. This worked until the first payment was due on Sunday. I never dreamed that electronic transfers were subject to the human workweek. CapitalOne posted the payment in the following days, making the payment late by a matter of hours, and then changed my APR to a penalty rate. When I called I received no answers, only unsolicited offers to transfer balances from other lines of credit for a higher fixed rate on my CapitalOne account. All this generosity, with NO truth in lending statement! Beware, the credit companies control the game, they are dealing the cards and can legally manipulate "late" payments.
