National Guard Soldier's Chapter 13 Loan Payment Not Reduced

I am a National Guard soldier who has been called to active duty for my country. I took care of all the necessary things during my pre-deployment. One was to use the Soldiers' and Sailors' Relief Act. I sent in all the information (which was lost) to Citifinancial. A couple of months went by while I was at Ft. Sill, and my wife notified me that all our creditors replied with a lower interest rate and payment except one. I then called down to Irving, TX, because that is who you talk to when you are in a Chapter 13.

I was told to fax a copy of the orders and all would be taken care of. I talked to a woman there and asked what our payments would be, and she said it would be around $300. I have nothing in writing on that, only that phone call. My wife sent $300 for the following months. I was home on leave after 9 months in Iraq, looking over bills, and noticed that the statement from Citifi hadn't changed.

I called and talked to the same woman I did from Sill, and was told that the interest was dropped but not the payment. So we sent in payments for a year, $250 short. They didn't notify the trustee that the payments were not in full, or the bankruptcy lawyer. I was told that they deferred the late months to the back of the note as a courtesy to me.

I have since seen a JAG officer and sent certified mail to Citifi, with no answer to me or JAG. I am wondering if any other servicemen are dealing with this. This is a federal law that Citifi is not complying with.
