Dishonest business practice Ripoff

I had contacted Mr. Weed the last week of September to do an appraisal for my borrower. Mr. Weed mentioned that he had problems with another branch of my company but said he would do the appraisal anyway. He said that he wanted to get paid first. My office manager told Mr. Weed he'd prefer if he inspected the property first (before writing the appraisal) to let us know if the value supported what the borrowers had told us. If it didn't, then he would pay for the inspection. Mr. Weed never responded to us after his and waited until October 19th before telling us he decided not to do the appraisal because he did not appreciate my manager giving him terms. What my manager did is a very common practice in the industry and it was not an unusual request. Mr. Weed's next excuse was that he just didn't like working with my company because of a problem he'd had with another branch. I've never passed judgment onto people based on an association and this was an unacceptable answer. He finally said that my borrower swore at him and he did not appreciate it at all. My borrower did swear at him after the escrow/closing company offered to pay for the appraisal and take the fee back out of the proceed. This is not that unusual either but Mr. Weed would not agree to that. Finally, he said after all the drama that he decided that it was just too much for him to remain unbiased in doing an appraisal. He said we acted unprofessionally, which is very ironic considering he never returned phone calls, did not respond to emails, and strung us out for three weeks before announcing he would not do the appraisal. We had to extend the lock on the loan and it ended up costing us $2,200 to extend it for 15 days while we have someone do the appraisal.

Do not use Mr. Weed or any of his appraisal services. I will forward you the emails of our argument after he strung us out, forcing this ordeal. You can see he is a cold-hearted man and has no sympathy for people. He is only interested in striking out revenge against people who never did anything to him. If he cannot collect bills from people that he chooses to do business with then that is his fault. He should not take that out on other people affiliated with branches in other states. He deliberately did this to get revenge for whatever he felt against my company.
