On June 14 a man named Kevin Spencer contacted me about receiving a mastercard with 0% interest for the first year and a possible increase to $10,000.in 3 years (if all payments to the credit card were recived on time). I had recently inquired about a mastercard on the internet and I thought this was them getting back with me about my application. He said that an insurance plan was attached to this offer and that I would need to pay $249.00 that would be drafted out of my account in the event that something should happen to me the balance of the card would be covered. He said that I would receive the card in forty days after that day due to processing time frame. He also said that he was recording the information about the drafting transaction.

I did not like the fact that I had to give out my social security and banking information over the phone but he assured me that Oxford was National bank and that all the iformation was secure and not at risk for usage other than a one time insurance draft of $249.00. I never received the card or any information regarding the Mastercard promised to me. I left a message for the customer service department to contact me in regards to this offer and have never heard back. I call the number 866-333-7715 many times only to get a busy signal. Today I finally reached a customer representative who said that the verification 3381427 was valid and that I would receive the package in the middle of August at this time I told her that I was aware of the scam that was being pulled and Susie said that Oxford was a company that helped people repair their credit. I told her that I had read several reports on the internet that contradicted her statement and she said that there would be no refunds and that she would just have to play the tape. She then hung up the phone and I have never been able to connect again only the repetitive busy signal.

I have emailed mastercard and contacted my bank. I only pray that these people are not allowed to continue with this scam and that a class action suit is brought against the Oxford finacial mastercard company or whatever they are calling themselves and I thank you consumer complaints for having this service available for people to use and get the word out.
