Mastercard Major Scam, Robbed $249 from bank account. Be Aware Phone Based Scam ripoff

I received a phone call one afternoon sometime 2nd week of June. A man calling himself Will said I was approved for a 2000$ Mastercard from Oxford Financial who had dealings with 20 banks all over USA. He listed all the benefits of having such a credit card and that it would look good on my credit report.

I have just recently moved to the States and in the process of establishing credit in this country. I thought it was a golden oppurtunity even though he did ask for a one time fee of 249$ to be withdrawn from my bank on the 24th June.

Everything sounded so good that against my better judgement I never clarified over the internet the authenticity at that time as he even gave me a confirmation No 3396719 and a PIN no too. Everything sounded so official. He made me speak to another of his fraudulent colleagues to confirm my name, address etc.

Well the money has been deducted but no card issued. I have repeatedly called the number he had given me but it is an answering machine that replies no one is there to take the call and they operate eastern standard time supposedly. I left a message to get back to me.

I got suspicious & went online to read about them. I seen their usacomplaints.com. I called my bank to cancel my cards and dispute the claim. I had to file this report and I hope everyone who got sucked into this scam does too. I hope that these scam artists get caught & appropriate action taken.
