Online Payments Debited Instantly but Funds Unavailable for Days

I have notice that after make my last two online payments. The money was taken from my bank electronic debit with in min, and posted like said on payment confirmation, however the funds are not available 5 days later! Who's using whom money? It does not mean they are taking a lot of money from me. I am a small piece of the pie. Everyone who makes online payment is lending their money as will. That is a lot of money!!!
