Reissue check

Background
I closed my account on January and I was told that the check that they gave me was valid for 1 year. I deposited the check 7 months later but I was told that the check was now stale and I couldn’t get my money.

My Response
I called CitiBank and they said to write a letter to reissue the check.
I wrote letters including all the details of the account and proof (SSN, current country Driver License, copy of Bank Statement, copy of the check) and asked them to email me when they have received the letter.

What I did:
November - Sent 1st letter pack to 100 Citibank Dr, San Antonio, TX 78245

November January Febuary 2013 - Phoned 1-210-677-0065 asking for the status of the letter. Citibank customer services can not help and don’t have the knowledge about what to do either. They said they can not find it out because they don’t have any connection with people in San Antonio 100 Citibank Dr, San Antonio. I even asked them whom should I address the letter and they don’t know about it.

16 March - Sent 2nd letter pack with track and trace. It was confirmed that Citibank received the letter on 1st April at 10:06 and signed. I have not gotten any email and any kind of respond from them.

30 March Phoned 1-210-677-0065 again and was told that they can’t help and to just keep sending letters.
6 April, 10 April and 11 April: put inquiry to myciti.com. RESULT: I got the default response template email back with no relevance to my inquiries.

Citibank is just full of disappointment!
I WILL NOT RECOMMEND Citibank to anybody anymore!

I am going to look into that website because I feel Citibank don’t treat me fairly and very ignorant.
