DIRECT TV - customer service

Lost my direct tv service today and called customer service (???) for assistance. Was informed that they would have to send a technician out to service my dish and that the earliest they could come was next wed - 5 days.
This is absolutely ridiculous.
If you are considering using direct tv for your entertainment - do not do it
