Direct tv is bad! - all

I have Direct TV and it is bad! I spend way too much time searching for satellite signals when the weather is perfect. It is always an issue with the equipment, every time. Coincidentally, I always have the problems after I get off work and go home, then I call and they are closed, no help. They do have a VERY LIMITED call center in Ohio that can do nothing more than schedule you for a service call 2 weeks from now. Oh, speaking of service calls Direct TV has such a lack of confidence in their products that after the first 90 days of service you have the option of buying insurance for the equipment at an additional monthly fee so they can fix their faulty equipment for free otherwise you have to pay obscene amounts to get service that you are already paying for. Lets say enough is enough and you just want to cancel to move to another provider with adequate service and competent 24 hour help that treats you like a VALUED CUSTOMER (Like Comcast, I used to have them and LOVED the service!) well you have 2 options. 1 you can ride out the two year contract that you signed (Shame on me for not reading all of that fine print, the $29 special, which I am not getting, was for a year so I thought the contract was too, NOT!) or you can pay a $480 cancellation fee. Which is just not in my available income having a toddler at home and all. This is the reason for all my tangents throughout the web and various print adds and every bit of word of mouth I can do. I JUST WANT OUT! I figure if I invest half of the $480 in local Print adds, classified's etc. Maybe they will just let me cancel, because that is all I want. Just let me out!
