Attuverse—don't get it! - AT&T U Verse

I decided to change from charter to att-uverse for my cable tv, phone and internet service. After 12 hours of attempted installation, we did get tv to work but not our phones. The tech was going to come back the next day but it took a week after I called and set up 3 different appointments to have someone come back out. I took 2 days off work and waited all day with no one coming. A week later the tech came back and got the phone properly working but the DVR's didn't work so he tried several more times to get it to work and another few days went by and after re-routing my cables it worked for a few days. I called again since the tv's would blank out and DVR still would not show the recorded program. After each call (at least 20-45min. Wait times) they told me to "reboot". This was the only way our tv's would work and I had to do it several times a day... After a week I called again and they said they would send me a new main box "DVR". So another week later I get the new box, istall it myself and it works for a day or so and then the same thing... Blank tv screens and no DVR recordings. I then called to cancel. Now I am trying to get the fees waived since there was a 30day money back guarantee... After 1 1/2 hour of waiting on the phone and explaining this many times over they keep putting me off. They say that since I cancelled 9 days after my so called start up day, I can't get the refund. Well, the start up day never really occured since the whole system never even worked for more than a few days at a time and I kept trying to solve this with them. I have told them I don't feel I should have to pay for such terrible service. Now I would like a suggestion on who to talk to about getting this settled again before I spend my entire day on the phone accomplishing nothing... Please help.
I would never recommend this service to anyone.
