Poor Tech Support - Dish Network

Extremely fed up with the tech "support" tonight. After over 30 minutes of talking with both online support and over the phone support and going through all the procedures to try and fix the problem, we got nowhere. All we wanted to do was order and watch a movie on PPV before bed, but for whatever reason the PPV channels that the movie we ordered online was supposed to be on do not exist in our All Channels line-up, and are also not accessible when manually submitted. Neither tech could offer an explanation as to why not. I was very patient and kept my cool, but the tech I was speaking with on the phone told me to "not be mad at him." I calmly told him I wasn't mad at him personally, just irritated with the circumstance, to which he replied, "please don't be that way, ma'am." Please, tell me, how should I have been? And in the process of trying to fix the mess, your phone tech tried convincing me to purchase HBO for $16.99/month. REALLY? Are they honestly trained to make a sales pitch to customers already dissatisfied with the service? He then later offered 3 free months of HBO to make up for tonight's hassle... But I would have to call to cancel when the promotional period ended so I wouldn't then be charged for it. I'm sorry, but WTH? I really hope for the company's sake that the person I dealt with on the phone tonight is just a total moron and that's not the way these situations are typically handled. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we've had a poor experience with Dish Network 's service. I have a very strong feeling that this won't be happening again, because it's enough to make us want to pull the plug on your service all together. *smh*
