I fell because of an uncovered Time Warner cable wire they failed to put underground

We called Time Warner Cable due to a bad cable wire that was left uncovered TWO YEARS AGO. The wire needed to be replaced due to weathering. After calling them 5to10 times they finally came out to the house and replaced the wire. They never put the 40ft wire underground again. We called Time Warner again to complain that it was dangerous to leave this amount of wire exposed on top of the lawn it took them weeks to send someone out to dig a trench to cover this up. I offered to do it but was told that this would be a bad idea. My wife Renee was holding up the wire so that I could mow my lawn. I usually mow it 2 times a week. Renee let the wire go and somehow it wrapped around her leg causing her to fall. This was on a Wednesday I believe. On Sunday I made her go to the emergency room because of pain. It didn't seem like a big issue at the time but I think sometimes when you take a fall you hurt yourself more when you try to stop yourself from falling than if you were to just go down. At the hospital Renee was told to see her doctor for a followup. She was instructed to get an MRI and some other test done. We found out that nothing was broken, thank God but her hands are like falling asleep whan she drives or picks up like a coffee cup or something like that. She has a pins and needles like feeling in her hands and feet. She needs more tests done to try to find out what the problems are. When we called Time Warner cooperate and explained this they assigned us another gentleman to assist us with this. We were told by this person that their insurance company would be in touch with us. We haven't heard a thing from them. Now the medical bills for this are piling up and Time Warner needs to let us know what their intentions are. We need them to address this customer complaint that they created. When we call the number we were given all we get is voice mail and no reply. We don't know if we should go through our pre pay legal or file a lawsuit through the courts or what. I know if we don't hear something this week we will do something next week. This is pathetic to put people through these types of things when you are wrong. I need someone to give us a quick reply to this. Thank you.
