Failed product but continue to be charged

In February my TIVO DVR ceased altering the funnel about the Primary TV satellite package. I spent hours about the telephone with both businesses but there appeared to be no answer. TIVO had me buy a IR enhancement from Radio Shack but that didn't function. After having a TIVO that did not work with four weeks I eventually named to stop my support ($12.95 per month) plus they explained I'd a deal for another year and that I could be charged $150 for eliminating. Because their item doesn't function it appears peculiar that I've to carry on investing in nothing. The corporation is shady.
