I need a new HDMI Cable Box

I purchased a 42" HD1080P widescreen Television. Our existing cable box must be changed by having an HDMI container. It took forever to talk to a CSR who stated the previous container might be traded to get a fresh one - simply visit a Cox shop. I am 73 and disabled. Our nephew, whois an informed specialist, agreed to do that work for me personally. After visiting 5 Cox Facilities (Tel.# wasn't fond of discover if container is in-stock), the wire package I desired was not available. I created 6 calls to Cox and lastly talked to some CSR who stated (after examining together with his boss), interest in an HDMI Container is really large, it'll be "pure fortune" to obtain a container when likely to a shop.
