At&t cable, service and billing - At&t cable / digital box and remote

My mother just turned 78yrs she's doe's pretty good for her age but she gets very confused and her patience for electrical gadgets are to much for her. She has/had a digital box from At&t so she could get a couple channel on it for the program it has, ever since my mom has had this box it has been a nightmare for me and my family. At least once a week she would lose her service or she would push the wrong button on the remote and lose everything. So between the service she got and her getting so confuse using that remote with alot of buttons she has lost alot of service that she is paying for or owes. As far as I no she has not had any service/cable for a few months, I discconnected her box about 2 months ago because she couldn't watch tv and I bbaelieve she informed At&t each time she had a problem but she was not getting any help. Now I'm stepping in and trying to resolve the problem she is having and in gentle. I have her cable box to return to the store and I have gotten her other cable service. I really don't think my mother should be resposible for products and services that she did use but could not understand. She was also told by a cust serv rep that she would be charged $75 if they sent a tech out to look or fix her service. Thank You for listening to me and I hope to hear from you soon.
