The room we were given was a dump

Don't book hotel rooms through canoe!!! We arranged an area in Laughlin Nevada for just one evening and "improved" towards the "Deluxe Tower" that will be adults-only and low-smoking. The room we received was a dump - appeared out within the garbage containers, not within the Luxurious Structure and, it had been a smoking area. We marched back towards the top table where we were informed the areas reserved on the third party website weren't assured and there is nothing they might (or might) do about this. We quit and visited a Hilton 20 kilometers in the future. Imagine it might have already been worse. We're able to have reserved and taken care of a penthouse suite and were left with this dumpy area...
