Needless to say, I never would have canceled the ticket had I known that it was non-refundable.

The email confirmation that I received when booking the ticket did not mention this at all, and when I looked at the FAQ prior to cancellation, it only showed a $70 cancellation fee.

The website was unclear and let me cancel without warning me of any of these consequences. I know that our CEO himself has apologized publicly for the state of the website.

With the ticket itself being canceled within 24 hours of booking it, for a flight 3 months away, is there anything at all you can do at this point to help me? This is a lot of money.

In addition they seem to be violating a new DOT regulation that fares can be canceled within 24 hours.
