Philippine Airlines
Kitchen Seepage on Plane

Traveling & Tourism

My family was in Flight PR 104 last Jan 12 coming back from the Philippines to San Francisco. My daughter-in-law's purse & cell phone got wet because of the seepage from their kitchen where they were seated. Her purse was a carry on & she had it laying on the floor as she was carrying a baby on her lap (which we paid $660 for baby's fare). We paid $1500 each person for a RT ticket for that trip. Their complaint department said they are not responsible for the hand-carry item that was messed up even if it was caused by their faulty service. They had a kitchen seepage which caused the purse to get wet. The purse became soggy & the phone screen got messed up, both can't be used anymore.

I have written them several times & all that they were offering me is a mileage credit & a voucher which I can't use since it expires in a year. Also what if I don't plan to go on a trip within this year? All I was asking was for them to replaced what was damaged. But as I have said they state that they were not responsible for it. What a nice response from them. This is what you get for paying a good amount of money for a long flight! You are responsible for your own thing even if it was caused by their faulty equipment.
