Did me Wrong

On Sept. 28 I booked a flight for a friend for Las Vegas from Rochester NY. When you put a depart date the window pops up a calendar showing 2 months. The month you are in and the following month, I put Jan. 18 for a depart date and then clicked on the 25th for a return date. I did not pay attention to the confirmation until my friend called to confirm her return flight. Some how, some way the computer picked up July 25. If I put in July I would have had to arrow to it 4 times so I know this did not happen. I'm sure the system had a glitch. Now they have charged her $300 for a return flight and penalty. What happened to the original money for the first flight that I'm sure was their error?
Also when she got to Chicago she had to wait 2 extra hours for her flight to Vegas. The original time was 9:50 but the boarding pass read 11:57. This was done with no emails and she didn't have a ride from the airport. My friend is 69 years old and I'm floored by the way seniors are treated. This was booked through Travelocity and the Trip ID # is 4127 1310 5951. I would appreciate anything you could do for her.
