Internet fraud

We hired a holiday house in Eze, Italy trough VRBO/Homeaway and bought the "care-free Holiday Insurance" they promote. 2 days after we were informed anything was finished and had moved $6500.00, we were informed that people were the target of an internet fraud. Whenever we ultimately could contact who owns the house she suggested this had occurred six months before aswell through VRBO/Homeaway. What bothers me is the fact that the insurance provider could reveal we were cheated in 2 times, why might that not have now been examined before we delivered the cash? We've have named numerous occasions and delivered registered characters and VRBO/Homeaway hasn't answered back again to us. Excellent customer support - NOT.
