On Sept 10 I purchased a round trip ticket on US Airways for travel between Tampa and Philadelphia Price $168.00

On Sept. 1 My fiance purchased 1, round trip ticket on US Airways for travel between Philadelphia and Tampa - Price $168.00

On Oct 28th Exchanged both tickets for the requested dates of Dec 14th and 15th for an additional cost of $134 each, for round trip travel from Tampa to Philadelphia.

Total cost for two, coach class tickets $604.00.

The reason for changing travel dates was because my fiance was moving to Florida in early Nov and neither ticket would be used. A trip to Philadelphia was planned for December for both of us to visit friends before the Holiday.

I left for Philadelphia on Nov 2nd and returned Nov 22nd with my fiance and all her personal property. Upon arriving home was the US Airways travel confirmation. The travel dates were incorrect. They were for Nov 14th and 15th. Those dates had already passed. Because no one was at my Florida home to see the error until after the travel dates there was no physical way for the tickets to be used.in fact, it would have made no sense to book flight dates for Nov 14th and 15th because both my fiance and me were in Philadelphia packing her personal belongings for the move to Florida.

Upon discovery of the error I contacted US Airways. The agent said there were plenty of seats available on the Dec flights and would make the change no problem. Unfortunately, the computer would not allow the change. A supervisor was called to help. The supervisor told me that US Airways does not make mistakes and because the tickets were not used by the travel dates we were not entitled to a take another flight nor could we receive a refund. The money was US Airway's now and that's their policy!

I have tried disputing the charges with AMEX. We contacted US Airway's customer service and were sent a letter verifying that's their policy and we're out $604.00. The Florida State Attorney General's office was also contacted. They do not litigate but they did file a complaint with the FAA.

To date, we have received nothing from US Airways, except their policy. Needles to say we are frustrated and would like a refund.US Airways made a mistake but because of their policies do not have to resolve the matter.
