Overcharged for hotel room and then refused to refund the difference

Booked a hotel room for $78.00 through Travelocity.com. They billed my card. Got to the hotel and was told they had my reservation but the room HAD NOT been paid for. They suggested I call Travelocty and they would "honour" the $59.00 room rate. What? 59.00? Travelocity charged me 78.00! Called customer service & was on hold for 27 minutes. They said that they would re-fax confirmation that the room was paid for. OK, what about the 19.00 that you overcharged me?"Sorry, can't help ya, there is nobody to talk to you and I can't credit you the difference." But here this 800# that accepts faxes only. Fax them your complaint and maybe you have a chance to get the difference reimbursed.

Not ony did I file the complaint via fax, but I complained through the e-mail contact for travelocity. I recieved a "prompt" generic response that said they would investigate and get back to me. It has now been 21 days and not a peep.
