Shore Crest II
Deceptive sale practices

Traveling & Tourism

Shore Crest II was being built when we bought a week every other year and was told we would have no problem getting a room. The room we were showed was a nice spacious room and was told it was like the rooms we could get. (The room was in Shore Crest I). We have yet to get a room like the one we were shown in either complex. We kept trying to get a room but had a difficult time. When we did get a room it was in Shore Crest II Marsh View. We were told in the update meetings that we were assigned to SC II and that to get a reservation in SC I we would have a better chance if we bought more points. We upgraded to 11,000 points and were given three certificates for a weeks stay on bonus time. Come to find out the certificates were worthless as you still had to go though the same process of calling within 45 days to see if there was a room available, which they weren't. I got to where I did answer the phone in the room when we did get a room as to avoid the latest update meetings, then they started calling my home before we got there to set up a meeting. I finally gave in to another update and I voiced my disappointment the the process. I was then told if I upgraded to the silver level I would be assured a ocean front room in SC I. Not a third time. The last time we stayed my wife called every hour everyday for a week till someone canceled in SC I. She was told it was ocean front. Finally! Not! A week later they called us and told us it was not ocean front but ocean view. Must not have been in the right point group. With the cost of maintenance for a year I could stay a week at another resort. They keep selling time shares so why not purchase back timeshares from dissatisfied customers. I attended a update meeting at another resort and vented my dissatisfaction. I was told that they were known to use unscrupulous methods and unclear information to make a sell.
