My husband are I are frequent business travelers and use Alaska Airlines often. Yesterday we finished work early in Ketchikan and rushed to the airport to catch a 1:20 departure instead of a 6:00 departure. We made it to the airport 30 minutes ahead of departure along with another young man trying to do the same thing. The flight we were trying to board was the only airplane at the airport. My husband and I were turned down but the nice young man was allowed to go on the plane. My husband and I asked for reconsideration as the 1:20 plane had many empty seats and we were the only non-employees in the entire airport. Alaska's "customer service representative" said no. We had to sit for seven hours waiting for the next plane. The whole time I was thinking, "I hate this airline and will never fly them again. I am going to tell evyone I know not to use them again" The nice young man who got on the flight felt so bad leaving us behind. But, we'll get our revenge. I spend $20,000 per year on business travel and I am taking my business away from Alaska Air. Good bye and good riddance. I hope a lot of you will choose another airline for your future travel needs. We vote with our feet!!!
