Refund policy is a scam. The company lied about their policy and it is a rip off

Cheap Trips has a 30 day refund policy and when you are initially contacted they give you a number for "Guest Services" if you wish to cancel your membership. I called and cancelled within the 30 day period and was told the membership was cancelled and that the credit card would be refunded. After two credit card cycles and having been told a second time that my membership was cancelled and that my credit charges would be reversed, the company states that you have to inform them in writing within the 30 day period in order to get your refund. They lied deliberatly and willingly in order to keep my membership fee.
