Cannot give you your cruise for date selected my rate is closed

We were given a certificate for a 7 night cruise. Specifically out of Miami, must be Saturday departure and not within any of the blackout dates. This cruise included St. Thomas, San Juan and Grand Turks. Category 4 interior staterooms. Select 2 sets of dates. Submit these dates at least 60 days in advance of earliest departure date. Submit $483.56 deposit. We mailed our deposit in September with our requested dates. We did not hear back from them. About 3 weeks ago I e-mailed them asking for a call as we had not heard anything. Then I received a call from someone who stated she was not a travel agent and could not help me but to expect a call within 3 days... No call came. Yesterday, I phoned them myself and demanded to speak with an agent. I got a nice lady. Vicky. When asked what month I wanted she said..."oh, I think those days are all taken. But let me take a look"."Oh look, the 9th is not available but I can switch your cruise to the 10th for only $400 more!" Category 4 is not available... We have to give you an ocean view room (category 6) which is an upgrade. You have to pay for this. Well, I went online to Carnival Cruise Lines. Our original cruise would cost $699 in category 4. This cruise was only $599.00 in category 6! If you're going to substitute then it should not cost us more. Every cruise date HTOA came back with was leaving on a Sunday. Did I mention the alternate cruise was leaving out of San Juan, Puerto Rico?
I will update you when I am finished trying to either book my "free" cruise, receive our deposit back and join some class action... Or... Contact 7 on your side. Hey! That's a good idea! Anyone else tried 7 on your side?
