Inc. Bait and Switch! Ripoff!

In taking a time share tour, I was given a certificate for a "free" cruise for 2. I asked the agent during the tour if there were any blackout dates and I was assured that other than holidays, there were no issues.in trying to book a February cruise in September I was told that there were no available dates at all in February.

During a second attempted booking in January for June or July, (peak season), the booking agent for MVI referred to their terms and conditions which states "Selected sailings are available on a year round basis, with a surcharge per person for peak seasons and holiday sailings".

It seems to me that there may be a fraud concern here. A given cruise during the "free" season (if available) is around $650.00. The same cruise during the peak season is around $1050.00. A difference of about $400.00, yet the "surcharge" quoted for the requested cruise is nearly $1000.00 per person. This does not constitute a surcharge on a "free cruise" but rather a minor discount that could be obtained through any cruise agency. I feel as if a bait and switch con is being attempted. Is there a recourse?
