Fairfield Resorts
Taking my money, but can't use my points

Traveling & Tourism

I have had the same expierience that a lot of owners have had. My husband and I purchsed a deed to Bonnet Creek, and have not been able to use the points we were given. I have tried numerous times to use the internet to check for availability, and was denied access due to "heavy on-line traffic" The on-line traffic has been heavy for about 6 months now.

I have made complaints to customer service and owner relations, but all they could do was say, "Did you know you can make reservations 10 m onths in advance?" As a young parent/couple, we can't make those kind of plans all tha time. Most of the time, we make plans a month or two in advance. I even bought a discovery package to get some extra points, and they expire in March (300,000). I called the Fairshre plus phone number and asked about those points and when they expire and was told November of "08.

I made reservations with my discovery points since they expire first, and was later told by another individual that my points expire Nov "07! Now I am out those points because some idiot that answers the phone for Fairfield told me wrong. I have spoken to supervisors, who cannot tell me anyhting different than the reps do.

They have no answers, and no solutions. One tried to explain how I could transfer my points into RCI credits, which was useless, cause I cannot take a full week at a time. What is with these people? I like the program, I like that I can will it on to my daughter, but what's the point if I am paying, and not able to use it? I was told that they bought Wyndam so there would be more availibility, but that is crap!

There are just more owners, and still not enough inventory! Get it together Fairfield! There are plenty of areas that need resorts, start building, and free up some units! The west coast of Florida is a good place to start! And Savannah Georgia!
