Ripoff AMTRAC the Train that stole Christmas

This report is long in the making. Almost a year ago, December 22 I took my daughter and my two grandchildren to the Amtrac Station in downtown Dallas, I droppd my daughter off at the front so she could go get checked in. Before I could get parked and get my grandchildren unbuckled my daughter met me at the curb, visibly upset. They told her, her bag was over weight, first point, overweight for a train! When I offered to pay any fee, they refused. Upset we attempted to reajust the bags, to this the women at the counter told us no. We had to get check in then or they would not check her in. I explained how rediculious that was, when a supervisor in the back took exception and told the one checking us in, not to check us in, we where to late.
This is a long story but I want to highlight a few points and end with a warning and suggestion.
They refused to checkin my grandson's car seat, brand new, my daughter had to carrier it her bags and two children on the train.

The same supervision who refuesed to let us check in was at the train telling the conductor my daughter was a trouble maker and the conductor refused to let my daughter on the train. She had to pled and cry. So much for humane kindness and dignity. Every time the children would move once on the train they where told to sit down or they would be put off.

They told my granddaughter 9 at the time they had put me her grandmother in jail, when in fact I was on the phone with the Dallas Police Dept. Fileing a report, the the check in clerk had toss the car seat out the check in window and hit my three year old grand son.
These are some of the most horrible moments and the memories hurt so bad it hard to write even now.
I got a hold of a Amtrac supervisor Joy Smith I explained the whole story to her and that I wished to press charges on the two employees that had cause all the trouble. She ask me to let her check into it and she would call me back. I was never able to get her back on the phone but my daughter did, Joy called us both liers and said there would be know refund or credit. Her cell phone number is listed, everyone should call and wish her the best Christmas Amtrac has to offer.
I suggestion to others thinking about traveling on Amtrac and when you here there is legislation trying to get additional funding for Amtrac call whoever you need to to be heard. The railroad is subsidised by the federal goverment, and we are the goverment. Or we where the last time I read the constitution.
