Ripoff con artists credit card fraud

I fell into a similar situation as many others as Best USA Vacations had contacted me, and told me that I had won a trip as a promotion through Visa and Mastercard. He told me that he simply needed to verify that I did in fact have a Visa card. Foolishly, I gave him my number, and information. He then went on to tell me more about the trip that i had just won. He then asked me if he could verify my Mastercard number, at which point I became suspicious and hung up. Two weeks later I received a parcel in the post with papers of the "holiday vacation" that I supposedly bought, including a form to sign. I immediately checked my Visa Card account and noticed that Best USA Vacations had put through a transaction of 1020.00 US dollars on my card, without even telling me or having me authorize it.

I then wrote a letter to my Visa Card company, was contacted by a person dealing with card fraud and told him the whole story. He explained to me that they will try and recover my loss but could not promise me anything. They immediately cancelled my credit card. I returned the documents I received from Best USA Vacations the same day by registered mail and still have the receipt, together with a copy of the letter I sent to my Visa Card company. I have not heard anything since, but today received a phone call from Best USA Vacations, quering my purchase with them - I told them I have never purchased or agreed to purchase anything, they told me I won a trip - he just put the phone down on me.

Tonight I received another phone call from Christine and told her that I DID NOT purchase, order or authorized anything from that company and that I intend to report them. I have already filed a report to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. I hope and trust that my money will be refunded and I will not give up - this is plain "theft" as far as I am concerned.
