Mariott Told me internet charges comp. At checkout, then charged card leaving me to pay out of pocket RIPOFF

I stayed at the hotel for a week purchasing internet access for $10 a day on several days.internet expenses are paid by the company as long as a receipt is submitted. I went to checkout ready to pay for my internet charges when the front desk associate told me the charges wouldn't be billed because of my status as a mariott rewards memeber, I was then given a $0 balance receipt.

However once I received my credit card bill I had been charged for internet expenses everyday. The money involved in somewhat minimal in comparison to the principle here. The hotel went on to fight my credit card company over the charge insisting they had the right to do that regardless of what I was told and given at checkout. All in all a horrible customer service experience for a service I TRIED to pay for up front and told I didn't have to and a service many / most mariotts don't charge for at all.
