My family of five booked a vacation to Mexico. We were to leave at 7am on Sunday the 4th and arrive at our hotel at noon. Our flight did not take off until 9:45 pm - over fourteen hours later. We were given many reasons as to why we were not leaving, and our flight time just kept being bumped up. At one point, we were told that the weather in Cancun was stopping us from flying, but we were the ONLY flight out of DFW that did not go. ALL other flights before, during, and after hours left on time. All of those planes were flying to Cancun and had no problem. Ultimately, we arrived at our hotel around 3 in the morning and we were exhausted. At 8 am, we received a call from the worry free representative telling us to come down NOW for our orientation. We were too tired, so we did not go. We lost our first day of vacation because we sat at the Dallas airport and pretty much the second day because we were exhausted. When I got home, I contacted worry free and stated my case. I told them that I would like half of my money back because I had basically lost two of the four days of my vacation. They replied back that the plane did not leave because of weather (if that is true, they were the only plane not able to fly) and employee fatigue. I do not feel that is my problem. Of course I don't want to fly with a "tired" employee, but isn't that their responsibility. Ultimately, I believe that they had some sort of employee problem and that they blamed the weather as part of the reason the flight did not take off. I feel that they owe me half of my money. You save all year for a vacation and they should take responsibility. Has anyone else had any problems? I would like to mention that Funjet's flights took off, so I would definitely recommend them over MLT.
