Unauthorized bank draft - why am I being charged? I cancelled my membership! Richmond

I was injured in 12/07, and could not work out at the gym anymore. My contract was to expire in 2/08, so I just let it run out. My bank was drafted again in march of even after they called me and asked me to renew and I said no. They were willing to take my renewal over the phone but to cancel they were trying to get me to jump through hoops. Even after they said they would not refund the draft they did in March, they said they would make sure that I was not charged for April.

Well, april came and went, and i was charged again, even after I sent the email in writing that they said i had to send back in March. Why are they still charging me? I cannot and have not used the gym since December of last year. It is a RIPOFF thats why they are still charging me.
