After signing contract, told us we couldn't go, then continued charging Ripoff

Last July my girlfriend decided to join a Gym. Unfortunately, she decided to try out World Gym. Her and a friend had gone there and talked to a trainer. He was nice and was telling them about how he'd help them work out. The guy talked her into filling out the contract, but she didn't put her bank info on it. A few days later, someone from the gym started calling and they kept asking for her bank account number, and said her membership wasnt active until they had it. Well, they talked her into giving that also, and they started charging us. She went to the Gym 2 times after that, and the 2nd time my girlfriend mentioned that she had a history of heart problems when she was younger and the trainer told her she needed a doctors approval to work out before she comes back.

After we failed to get a doctors approval, we asked about a refund since it had been less than a month. Let me tell you, that bright cheerful attitude change very quickly. We were told that we signed a contract and if we wanted out of it, it would cost us a termination fee. We debated keeping the membership, but the trainer still refused us service unless we brought a doctors note. At the end of the month they charged us for a second month, so we had to change our bank account number.

We called them to get the charges reversed, but were told there is nothing they can do about it until we pay the termination fee.

They definately gave us a workout. Too bad it was from all of the running around and dealing with their unprofessional bull*.
