Hi. The main purpose of this complain is to warn innocent members of gym like work out world that use national fitness for the purpose of biling customers. I have been a member of workout world for 2 years and I have never had any problem with my membership. One day, one of the professional trainer approached me when i was running on the treadmill to offer me a free session. I accepted the session. Then, he tried to sign me up on a contract which include a 30 minute session that cost $40 dollars per week. The total per month would be $ 160 dollars. That was the cheapest they had. I refused because obvioulsy its a lot of money for me. I am college student. I said forget it. Then, he proposed me an $80 dollar per month contract which include 2 session per months and also promessed me that I would get a free session every month on top of that. It sounded more reasonable for me. So, I accepted. I went 2 times, I was not happy with the training because the trainer had me using the equipment the gym already has instead of teaching me exercises that i can do with my own body. I realized it is a waste of time because i already have a membership with the gym itself. I can use those equipment all the time. So i decided to cancel. When i told my trainer, he told me it is not that easy to cancel its a contract. So i told him that i will contact national fitness to solve that. I called national fitness. One of customer rep told me the same thing. Its a contract there is no way out. I got upset i told them well too bad. 4weeks later they sent me a bill of $275 dollars. I did want any more issues. I decided to pay off the amount and I also told them if their is a cancellation fee. I will pay right after paying the balance. They told me i can do a payment plan. Which I did. I was paying $100 every 2 weeks to paid off completely. I also told them my intention to cancel right after. It took me 6 weeks to paid off the $ 275 balance. When i was about to pay my cancellation fee. The rep told that i was charged an additional $ 160 because the 14 of each month is the end of my biling cycle. I was furious about that because they never told me they would keep charging me even though they knew that i was paying off my balance to finally get to the termination fee. Anyway. I payed of $160 dollars and I also paid the termination fee which is $112. The same day the rep called me to informed me there is one more payment which is $ 80 for 30 days notice fee. I was shocked because it did not make sense at all to pay an extra $80 after i already cancelled. This company is worst than credit card company. They try to get as much money they can to put you in debt. So In total i paid almost $ 600 dollars for something i used twice only. The rep of the phone was even being super nice she even asked if I want to update my credit card information. I had been doing one time payment. She tried to update me all the time. Who does that! This company should be shut down. I know I am not the first or last victim. National fitness should go under investigation for scamming customers
