LA Fitness not canceling membership

I have sent in a cancelation form to LA Fitness in Sept. 2012. Today (Jan 9th) I realized they have been charging me last 4 months although I have not been using the gym since I sent in the cancelation form. They told me that I could not get refund even though they could clearly tell that I have not been using the gym. Totaly shady!
