For those who like to buy pre-paid phone cards. I would like to alert them not to buy "International Platinum" from Mercury Teleservices. I bought a $5 phone card which gave me like 250 minutes to call Venezuela, I just expent 50 minutes and I thought I could use it again. For my surprise, 4 days later when I tried to make another phone call (this time a domestic call) it said that I already used all my minutes.

I call their Customer Services Dept. And they told me that it was a computer mistake and they will give me the credit back and that I have to wait 15 minutes to make another call. I did not make another call. So I waited until next day. When I try to use again, same story "no balance left". I called them back again. They said the same thing in 15 min. You can make your call. I did. I called Colorado and I only talked for 6 minutes. Still having balance in my card, I wanted to make an overseas call and how strange "no balance"... So I called then back and at this time they told me they can not give anymore credit because I called them 2 times and they have their rules, etc. Etc. I only expent 56 minutes of my suppose 250 minutes and on top of that they will not make any reinbursment, so I lost my $5. Oo.

This people do not have an address or website or anything where you can reach them. I asked customer services if I can talk to a supervisor or manager and they are never there. They asked what my name was, I asked them if were they going to help me and give me the credit they owe me and the agent said "no", then what do you want my name for?
For sure, I will never buy this kind of phony prepaid scam cards again.
