This report is to document 1e1 years of frustration dealing with COMCAST in Southern New Jersey. I purchased this home here in Mickleton in Oct. 2001. At settlement the seller made a coment to me that I did not allow to fully sink in at the time. He said "Do not expect much out of the cable service".

After moving in we had the local cable company (Comcast) install cable and internet service. Right off the bat there was a problem. The installer said that the signal was weak because we were the end of the line on this run of cable and he would have to sell us and install a signal amplfier for $144.00. We had it installed and within a week we had to have a service tech come out because of the poor quility of reception.

So over the last 11 year's each installer that comes out either disconnects the amplifier or reconects it because the signal is either to strong or to weak. Now a few time I was able to get knowledgeable people to come out and tell me the truth about what the problem is.

I kept telling the techs that you can not amplifi a degraded signal but I am just a stupid home owner.

The problem is that the transformer mounted on a pole is to far away to send a good signal to my home or for that matter most of the homes on the street. So no mater what the installers and service techs do will nexer solve the problem and Comcast know this.

I have spoken to the people that live on the street and they all have given up calling Comcast for help a long time ago. According to Comcast when I call I am the only person on the whole street that has exer reported a problem.

My argument is this, I am paying full price for sub standerd service that the company knows there will always be a problem with untill they rengineer the way the signal is boosted to the home. I is down right fraud to knowingly charge for a service that from an engineering point can not work.

I cancelled the service 7/25 because on 7/14 the tv was unwatchable and the internet was usless. They sent a tech out on 7/19 and he could not fix the signal problem tha he measured out at the pole on the street. I was stll charged for equipment rental after I reported the problem and there own people could not fix.

I can not be the only person having these problems.in the 11 years with Comcast I have paid over $16,000.00 in monthly service fees to a company that is commiting fraud...
