Statement of Cort Randell

Cort Randell started out as an engineer with General Electric and ITT when he graduated from the University of Virginia with an engineering degree. He worked on the Seawolf nuclear submarine and the Ballistic Missile Early Warning Projects with GE and the Strategic Air Command (SAC) Worldwide Communications System at Offit Air Force Base at Omaha Nebraska with ITT. After several years as an engineer, he saved his money and began investing in new businesses.in he learned of a new business located in Orlando, Florida, that would use the Internet to assist modeling agencies in finding new talent, and provide an effective way for aspiring models to enter the industry. Mr. Randell saw the potential of this company to change the modeling industry and invested in the company, which became Options Talent.

As a substantial investor, Mr. Randell initially had a role in the overall direction of the company, but as a resident of Virginia who was running another company, he did not have any role in the company's day to day operations. As Options grew and new investors and management joined the company, Mr. Randell substantially reduced his role in the company and concentrated on certain financial matters while others controlled the operation and direction of the company.

Mr. Randell has had an even more limited role in Lou Pearlman's new company, Fashion Rock, LLC. He has no role at all in the management or direction of the company, and only occasionally provides financial advice to the company.

At the time Options was founded, Mr. Randell was President of Federal News Service, a company he founded more than 15 years earlier in Washington, D.C. Mr. Randell built Federal News Service into a newswire that was, at the time he left the company, received by 358 U.S. And foreign media, most members of Congress, the White House, most executive agencies, and 38 foreign governments. Mr. Randell is also well known for his involvement in community and religious affairs. While Mr. Randell has provided the accurate information to the media, the reporters have chosen to ignore all of the positive information on Mr. Randell.instead, have focused on irrelevant issues from the 1970s and on clearly inaccurate characterizations of Mr. Randell's role in Options. It is unfortunate that the media chose to focus on irrelevant matters from a third of a century ago, rather than Mr. Randell's substantial accomplishments over the last 25 years.
