Linda randell scammed me out of over $4000.00 dollars for an adv that will never happen since 2008!

I was contacted by Linda Randell from whos who in the makeup business...
She promised me that if i put a 2 Full page ads in the makeup book and pre pay - then I would get my name mentioned in the press releases and alot of other promises. I paid in payments of $1000.00 aprox starting in Dec. 2008... I paid approx $4000.00 and I was promised several times that a cheque would be in the mail - it never came.
That is alot of money for our small business. I saw her book mentioned in the makeup artist magazine and I feel that they should be aware that such a company is out there.
If she is not a scam artist then why have i not recieved my money?
