Etsy refuses to get involved in any transactions unless a complaint is filed with the BBB. I received defective merchandise, filed a dispute with PayPal and was harassed by the seller. I asked Etsy to intervene on my behalf and at least block the seller's e-mails. They never responded until I complained to the BBB and then I received an e-mail telling me not to contact the person harassing me?! Total BS and it was obvious the complaint was not at all investigated—they took the seller's word for it because, after all, they are paying the fees on Etsy.
