Ripoff i can not find the words to decribe how crushed my heart is kaufmans wedding world crushed a littles girls dream of having the perfect wedding dress

All I ever dreamed about was having the perfect wedding with the perfect wedding dress. When I walked into kaufmans wedding world I thought to myself wow the people were really nice, down to earth, and the dresses were so beautiful including the bridesmaid dresses. Everything was just my style.

I walked around the store and picked a couple of dresses to try on. I got to the last dress I picked. I put it on and I knew that the dress I had on was the one. It just felt so perfect. My mother and grandmother told me as you try on dresses when you come to the right one you will know it, you can feel that the dress you have on is the one and that's exactly how I felt when I put this dress on. I actually cried I was so happy.

Then I had decided to let my sister who is my maid of honor try some bridesmaid dresses on to get an idea of what I liked. I picked a couple dresses out and once again I found the dress that I wanted my girls to where. It was very simular to my wedding gown. The dress laced up the back just like my gown. I thought "wow what a pefect touch.

The very next day my mother and I went back down to kaufmans and ordered my dress and paid for it in full. I also registered my girls as bridesmaids with the dress i had picked out. I also had to pay for the registry of my girls. The sales girls told me I would have my dress by January at the latest Febuary 2005 keep in mind i ordered my dress in July I thought it was odd that it would take 6 to 7 months to recieve my dress but I just thought to myself well maybe they have to actually make it.

My fiance and I were sitting on the coach last night watching TV and i turned on the fox 45 news at 10PM and they were running a storie about kaufmans wedding world in Timonium, Maryland about how there is so many upset brides because the store has just all the sudden closed and the girls can not get there gowns that are paid for and ready to be picked up and just alot of other harrifying stuff that was going on but not once did they say it was all the other stores as well.

So the next morning when I got to work I started calling the Glen Burnie, Maryland store to make sure that everything was okay at that location. I called I know a good 20 to 25 times I did not get a answer and they also do not have a answering machine that they could leave a message on letting you know the situation that is going on. I decided to go on line to see if I could find out anything and thats when I stumbled accross some information that I was not to happy about.

I found out that the whole company has gone bankrupt and boy did the tears start coming down my face my dreams were totally shattered I could not believe it. I can not believe those woman let me walk in there and buy a dress. They were telling me how they had been in business for one hundred and ten years and they were the best arould. Also a couple days after I had ordered my dress I was looking at a modern bride magazine and seen my dress in there for a lot cheaper then what I had paid for it.

My dress at kaufmans had a $998.00 price tag on it and I said that I could not pay that much for a dress so my sales lady told me it was on sale and that she would call and get me the sale price on it. I thought it was odd that she had to call and get a sale price. She said it was there aniversary sale so she came and told me my dress was on sale for $549.00 me my mom and grandmom thought oh my what a deal. It was like 1/2 off.

Then I see it in a magazine for like $75.00 cheaper and also on the designers web site its cheaper to. When we were getting ready to leave the store the woman said you know the sale price is only good for today it could be more expensive tomarrow and they could also discontinue it tomorrow and we would not be able to get it for you. What scam artist they were they really fooled me.

I can not believe they they did not have the heart to call all their customers who have dresses ordered and have already paid for things and some girls dresses are already there and let us know what was going on. Am I ever going to see my dream dress or am I going to get a refund? Thanks a lot wedding world you have destroyed a little girls lifetime dream!
