Cheap products, horrible customer service, no respect for military

I have never written a business complaint in my life, but the situation that I have had to deal with in the past week deserves a Super Bowl sized commercial, worldwide billboards, and every possible avenue of publicity to keep customers AWAY FROM KAY JEWELERS. So my complaint campaign begins

My husband bought a round solitaire Leo diamond in February to propose with. No issues.in August I decided I wanted a new Leo setting. We went to the Springfield Mall, Virginia store and upgraded to an 11 stone, channel setting ring.

First issue: rather than a size 4.5, the ring came back at a 5.5. Ring sent back for correction. Second issue: ring came back in the right size but the band was completely uneven and totally lopsided. The manager didnt think anything was wrong with it, but CLEARLY it wasnt symmetrical and I refused to take it back unless it was sculptured evenly. Ring sent BACK to repairs. Third issue: ring came back, looked better, but the small Leo diamond that is placed on the inside of the band was now missing! Are you kidding me?! Am I ever going to be able to wear my UPGRADED engagement ring?! Ring came back and now feels like a half-a$ crafted piece of metal. What can I do?

Fast forward two years to now, July. My mom and I were headed to lunch in DC. I parallel parked, got out, went to lunch, came back to my car to find THE ENTIRE CENTER STONE SETTING SITTING IN MY DRIVERS SEAT!!! WHAT!?!?!?!? It had completely broken off of the rest of my setting. I was so lucky it didnt break off in the middle of the street, roll down a sewer drain, to become MIA for eternity! I immediately called Kay to tell them what happened and they were very worried and said to come in immediately. On my drive to the Landmark Mall, Alexandria, VA location, I decided it might be a good idea to call Kay Customer Service and explain my situation. The woman I spoke to was also very concerned and to call back if the store couldnt come up with a good solution. MY SOLUTION: REPLACE THE WHOLE F-ING RING, RIGHT? At this point, the ring has been altered and compromised so many times that the integrity of the ring would seem completely non-existent. HAH!!! Kay had another solution. You guessed it! Repair the ring!!! Again!!! Fuming with anger, my husband and I called Customer Service and worked our way up the useless management chain just to hear every single person say that it was MY FAULT! That I had whacked the ring numerous times, and thats why it broke!!! Are you kidding me?!?!?! I have diamond rings from ancestors that were made in the 20s that are in better condition than that piece of crap! Let me get one thing straight, I own thousands and thousands of dollars in fine jewelry, from David Yurman, Tiffanys, Stephen Webster, John Hardy, custom TJB jewelry, I could go on. I keep my jewelry in mint condition and take very good care of all of it. TO INCLUDE MY ENGAGEMENT RING AND WEDDING BAND (which was thankfully purchased elsewhere). My husband is in the military and works his a$ off for his paychecks and every cent that he spends. So purchasing an engagement ring was a very big deal to him. We dont deserve this treatment. No one does. So now I am waiting for this piece of junk to come back from repairs and take it to The Tiny Jewel Box in DC to have them re-set the diamonds into a trustworthy, outstanding quality ring. It is so sad, disappointing, and embarrassing that the ring my husband and I took our vows with now has to be completely re-set, just so I feel comfortable wearing it. We just bought a house so we are trying to look at the situation as a new beginning. F*ck you kay!!!
