Poor Quality Jewelry Manager with a bad attitude horrible PR

My husband and I bought our wedding bands and engagement ring from Kay Jewelers 23 years ago. 24 years ago, my then fiance bought a diamond friendship ring for me. 4 years ago, my husband bought a saphire 10k ring. The stones in all 3 rings have fallen out!

When Kay Jewelers says their stones are guaranteed for life - that's true. Unless they fall out of the setting and get lost. Then, the ring is considered defective and the customer is told they should have had the ring checked and it should have been taken care of better. It would have nice to have the information on the setting up front.

However, when we purchased the saphire, within 6 weeks, the stone fell out. I took the ring back, the stone was replaced. 6 weeks later, the new stone fell out.By this time, the ring was also bent. It was suppose to be a 10K. It was the cheapest material I have seen for gold so far. I could bend it in my hands. When I presented it to the manager, he told me I was too rough on the ring and it should not have been bent like that. I had only worn the thing 2 weeks and it bent that badly.

The manager proceeded to yell at me and tell me "How dare you come in here making accusations about the quality of the materials". He yelled at me in front of other customers. Apparently, he did this to a friend of mine also. My friend made such a ruckous that it embarrassed the manager, and only then, did the manager meet the customer needs.

I think I might need to go back and embarras the manager.

Kay wouldn't even consider doing anything with their own jewelry. I'll continue telling everyone NOT to buy from Kay's unless they want to loose the precious stones they pay so much $ for.
