Kohl's creditcard practices

My husband purchased my Christmas presents from Kohls. He was told he would receive $30-$40 discounts if he charged it. So he said great. She told him about their Kohls charge, he gave her his ID and Visa Card. He thought he was opening an account with Kohls but want to pay with his personal Visa, which he did. We never receive a Kohls card or statements etc. Then we got a call the other day. He had a Kohl's card with a $10 charge on it that now had $2 in fees was in collections and bad on his credit (which was perfect). I asked where they were sending the bill. They were sending the bill to a street address that we lived at 5yrs ago and the city, state and zip from where we live now. Why, I dont know he doesnt have any ID from the old address—they must have pulled it from his credit report but they jacked up the address so who knows where the credit card and bills have been going. It cost me $10 to pay the $12 so I paid $22 for his $30 savings. What rip off! If you open a charge account with Kohls make sure you check the address because they apparently cant read IDs. And to get the credit ding removed I have to write a letter of apology to them... They can hold their breathe on that.
