Kohl's is DISHONEST - Kohl's Credit Card

BUYER BEWARE if you have a credit card with Kohls.

When I fell onto financial hardship like so many these days in this horrible economy, I asked to be placed on the hardship program in order to prevent my account from being close. I was even informed that I could resume use of my account in December. When I took my kids with me to do some last minute Christmas shopping, we stopped by Kohl's. It wasn't until we were ready to pay that things went wrong. The cashier phoned the toll free number on the back of the card and we were then informed that the account was closed in August!!! Yet, I never received any notification of this by letter or by phone or email!!! When I phoned the number myself to get to the bottom of things, I was put on hold for at least 20 minutes during this "investigation." As it turns out, they did close the account and lied to me just to get me to keep paying them! But to wait until CHRISTMAS to come out with the truth?!?! If I had known they were like that, I NEVER would have had anything to do with their rotten credit cards!!!
